1) Looking back at Act 1 of scene 1 in the play write Othello, you get multiple impressions of both Desdemonia and Othello. Desdemonia I viewed as a very innocent young lady, that truly has a very rebellious and daring side to her. She, like any girl, has the pressure of finding the right guy, being the ideal wife, and representing her family in a good way. Othello on the other hand gives me that impression of a very likable guy, who is able to get the "ladies". Othello and Desdemonia seem to be in love but as the reader Othello seems like he could possible be a guy that would use her due to her like ability and innocence.
2) The biggest controversy in the play so far is the idea of Desdemonia and Othello being in love, but the fact that Desdemonia's father wants her to marry another man. Her father doesn't believe that Othello is the right man for her, and because of the fact that most marriages where set up he believes that he has a day in who she ultimately ends up with.
3) The phrase "second hand information is reliable" is greatly emerging in Othello. In this play, Desdemonia's father gets all of his information on Othello from other people and he believes it. In reality though this information may not be true, this information isn't really information, it is the opinions of other in which Desdemonia's father ends up belie being even though he should ultimately find out what Othello is like for himself.
